Functional Art for the wine enthusiast! Created by a carpenter, read our story.
Find completely unique natural gifts for the person who has everything.

Beautifully Broken is a line of hand crafted functional art for the wine and spirit enthusiast. The origin of the Beautifully Broken line comes from the artist’s love of wine and a wood stove. In the winter of 07’/08’ our family invested in a wood burning stove to reduce the cost of heating our home. While splitting logs with an axe we were amazed by the natural beauty of the logs we were essentially “breaking”. The natural colors that were uncovered and the shapes that were derived by swinging an axe were surreal. Every swing unveiled the hidden brilliance that only nature could design. It was through this discovery that we started finding beauty in wood that we would have normally found ordinary and plain. Features like the grain and color inside 2x4’s reclaimed from a home built in the late 1800’s. Or the grain and color in old fence boards that had been painted over a dozen times. Our plan with Beautifully Broken is to display the beauty in wood that would otherwise be buried or burned by turning it into something for generations to enjoy. We combined the natural beauty of wood with the enjoyment of cultivated vines to create a line of wine and spirit accessories that are as unique as the trees they originated from.
We invite you to browse the pieces and hopefully accept one into your home. We promise that you and your loved ones will appreciate its beauty and conversation that it spurs for years to come.
